Woolly Plant Inspirations: Creeping Jenny

Mar 14, 2013

Creeping Jenny (Lysimachia nummularia)

Sun:  This plant is great for full sun and partial shade. It does a lot better in full sun, than the shade.

Zone:  USDA hardiness zones 3 to 8.

Soil:  A well drained organic potting mix for this gal!

Water:  Easy to take care of. Water on a regular basis; just don’t allow the soil to become hard and dry.

Culture:  Low growing, fast spreading, perennial herb. Jenny can be problematic in some areas because she competes with other plants, and will eventually choke them out. Great for pockets because they can’t invade the plants in other planters!

Tip:  Resistant to deer, disease, drought, heat, insect, and mildew.

Category:  Spiller – Should drape down to cover the edges of the Pockets, as a “frame” along the side edges, and mixed into the bottom edge.
