Woolly Pocket at Chelsea Fringe Festival
61 Charterhouse Street is a London rarity: a former meat packing yard with blood filter, it stands empty after the local authority denied bar use. Luckily, the Corporation of London has agreed to ‘meanwhile use’ for the Chelsea Fringe.
Designed by Deborah Nagan, the venue will become home to an explosion of mint bursting from pallets and filling the warehouse. Contained within the mint is a pop-up mojito bar, no doubt adding to the sense of disorientation! As well as the garden we have a series of debates on a selection of minty topics – culinary, aromatic, gardenesque, artistic – all freely open, and featuring a selection of well-known faces.
