Wintersweet (Chimonanthus praecox)

Sun:  It likes a sunny spot, and even a wall to be trained against is deal.

Zone:  Zones 7-9 will do best with this plant.

Soil:  Well-drained garden soil with a good mixture of organic matter. This plant will not do well in soggy conditions.

Water:  This plant needs a regular watering schedule, so check the weather and be sure not to over water this beautiful shrub!

HabitatHas large deep yellow flowers with maroon markings inside. This is a flowering evergreen plant, and will usually flower in late winter.

TipIf you are going to prune or cut back this plant, be sure to do it in late winter after the flowers die.
