Madagascar Ocotillo (Alluaudia procera)

Sun: Full Sun- can’t get enough!

Zone: This cactus/succulent loves it warm! Zones 9b and above please! Madagascar can handle some colder weather in the winter months, but not below 25 degrees F.

Soil: Well drained for sure! Add a little sand to your potting mix; this will help keep that water moving.

Water: Water this plant regularly. No need to over water this drought-tolerant tower.

Habitat: Grows upright and is considered a “desert” plant. This plant is great for xeriscaping!

Tip: This plant has spines, so please be careful when handling. Great for container growing, and even better at repelling deer!

Category: Thriller – Used as focal points and to create a dynamic visual composition.
