Bee Balm (Mondarda didyma)

Sun: Bee balm likes its full sun! But it can also tolerate some part shade.

Zone: Does best in zones 4-9.

Soil: Good soil moisture is a must! They like rich, well-drained soil. Some species will tolerate wetter soils than others.

Water: Water plants during the summer if rainfall is less than 1” per week.

Habitat: Can grow very tall, 2-4 feet and spreads out. Great for planters because in the yard it can become invasive!

Tip: This plant attracts hummingbirds, butterflies and bees! Great for naturalizing an area, and can be used in tea. The leaves have a mint aroma when crushed.

Category: Filler – To fill in and cover the Pockets between the other plants.
